My Friedrichstadt. In the immediate vicinity of the city centre, I feel the pulse of my city every day. Yes, it’s urban here. It's lively here. Here I’m in the middle of the action and can be at all the hotspots in no time. A few hundred metres to the underground, suburban railway and tram – what more could you want? I’m perfectly connected. Whether Königsallee, main railway station or city centre, I can reach everything in a short time. Even by bike: the Kö in just six minutes, the MedienHafen in ten. I can go shopping on foot in the neighbourhood or in the Arcades. I indulge in culinary delights in the many restaurants and cafés, where I meet up with my friends in a relaxed atmosphere. Relaxation from the stress of leisure time? I find it in the green oases of the Flora- and Volksgarten or at sunset on the banks of the Rhine.
The MedienHafen is home to over 800 companies from the media, communication, fashion, art and culture sectors. Plus an architectural mile with impressive buildings and a trendy neighbourhood in the evening.
Art is visible on the street in Düsseldorf. Urban art. Pretty Portal is the first address for unusual street art. Artists from the graffiti and street art scene show their works of art there.
Gucci. Prada. Chanel. Louis Vuitton. Dior. The Kö is more than just a street. It’s a shopping paradise for all fashion enthusiasts. A true boulevard of luxury and exclusivity.
I love my life on the pulse of the city. But I also love nature. In the green oases around my home I relax and recharge my batteries.
Between street musicians, artists and young people, I sit on the waterfront with my friends watching magical sunsets and simply enjoy life.
The view from Düsseldorf's highest building is simply breathtaking. Here the city lies at my feet. At a height of 240.5 metres I feel as free as a bird.
