The Haubentaucher, for example, is famous for its pool parties. For street music fans, a trip to Warschauer Strasse is worthwhile: Here you will find talented musicians on an almost daily basis, entertaining the public with their ukuleles, for example.
At Flutgraben on the opposite side of the Spree you can spend relaxing evenings in the fresh air. Friedrichshain also has much to offer for cinema lovers. Friedrichshain is renowned as a bohemian district with an alternative atmosphere. In addition to the pleasant surroundings, the district offers excellent prospects for young professionals: Several large companies are located close to Stralauer Allee including Universal Music, Pepe Jeans, Coca Cola Germany and Liebeskind headquarters, Berlin. Short journeys to work, lunch breaks on the banks of the River Spree and more time for the important things in life – the work-life balance is just right here!
BOSSE & SPREE also offers advantages for students. Thanks to convenient suburban and underground [S-Bahn and U-Bahn] connections, Berlin’s universities are easily accessible via public transport.
In Friedrichshain, you can discover monuments and landmarks on every corner that tell of the district’s past and that shape the art scene of today. To name a few: the East Side Gallery, the Open Air gallery on the longest remaining stretch of the Berlin Wall, as well as the RAW-Gelände.
The former train repair station is home to numerous clubs, bars, artists and venues and is famous for its remarkable street art and Sunday flea market. You can also browse the flea market on Boxhagener Platz to your heart’s content every Sunday.
